2024 NO MORE Round
Help change the language of sport

NO MORE and NRL NT invite teams, officials and spectators to “link up” again in 2024 to say NO MORE to domestic and family violence.
NO MORE will feature on NRL NT Media, there will be a round dedicated to NO MORE, and NO MORE “Spirit of the Game” Awards will be presented.
We take this opportunity to raise awareness of the issue and provide individuals with knowledge and tools to be able to provide support to those impacted by violence and/or reach out if they are impacted. By understanding the signs of domestic violence and knowing how to offer help or resources, each one of us can play a role in ensuring our neighbours, friends, and family members find the sanctuary they deserve at home.
NO MORE was founded in the Northern Territory in 2006 by Gurindji man and ABC commentator, Charlie King, AM. Charlie was travelling around the Northern Territory talking with men in aboriginal communities about the issues they face. The elders told Charlie that domestic violence must end. The men said “NO MORE” and, “ALL MEN SHOULD LINK UP”
Charlie drove back from that community and envisaged sporting fields where players, coaches and officials from opposing teams would link up to show a united stand against domestic and family violence, and from there the campaign was born.
NO MORE takes a whole-of-community of approach. Reducing domestic and family violence needs men and women to stand up as individuals and come together to find solutions.
This is why NO MORE partners with sporting organisations, Aboriginal communities, councils, businesses and individuals who all have a common goal – to end domestic and family violence.
NO MORE and NRL NT
NRL NT has made the NO MORE round and Spirit of the Game awards a feature of its season’s draw.
NRL NT has written a Domestic Violence Action Plan. Known as a DVAP, the plan is a commitment to reducing domestic and family violence, support those impacted by and using domestic and family violence, and outlining practical goals and strategies to help achieve that.
