The area of Katherine remains in Lockdown for at least another 24 hours. There are several COVID restrictions still in place. Of primary impact to the sport of Rugby League is the NT Chief Health Officer Direction No 45, Part 18:
- A person must not provide, organise or participate in a sporting or physical training activity that involves physical contact.
o Examples for direction 18,
▪ 1. Contact Sports such as football or Rugby

Therefore, the cessation of the provision, organisation and participation of Rugby League activity will continue in the above-mentioned areas until 12noon Thursday 26th August (An update for Katherine will provided at a later date). As leaders in our community we are all responsible for the adherence to and enforcement of the CHO’s directive. Please pass this message on to all committee members, coaches, managers, captains and players.

I will send a follow up email to Darwin Club presidents to discuss the scheduling for the remainder of the season and we will release more information when we can.
Stay safe.
